I stumbled upon this recipe in my mom's Women Weekly magazine from yonks ago. I find brownies from this recipe have a cake-like texture to it. The recipe uses less sugar compares to the dense "cookie-texture brownies".

1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup plain flour
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Method:

- Mix together butter and sugar. When throughly mixed, add egg and beat.
- in a seperate bowl, combine cocoa, flour and baking sodea. Mix well and add to the egg and butter mixture.
- add milk and chocolate chips. when completely mix, our into a greased 20cm sqaure baking pan and bake in oven for 15 mins or until a toothpick instered into the center of the pan comes out clean.
